This is a brand new initiative, started in October 2010, aiming to raise money for children in poverty worldwide through the sale of handcrafted scented soy candles! I personally make and gift wrap the candles, and all proceeds go to charity organizations for children around the world.
The candles are made of 100% natural soy wax, a vegetable by-product. Soy wax is made from soybeans, a renewable source, and is non-toxic. It is biodegradable and easy to clean up with just soap and hot water. Soy wax burns much cleaner than traditional paraffin wax, and creates very little soot. Soy candles burn longer than paraffin candles, making them also cost-effective.
